I've been really busy this week and will be working pretty much everyday for the next month or so to get stuff done. Here's a quick update: I've started the painting of Luke, just the basic blocking in done on this image. The other paintings are short gesture studies we've been doing in class, the pose is around 5 mins. I found them really difficult as I've never done short studies in oils before. The one above was a 20 minute pose. The cast drawing is coming on slowly but surely, I'll try and get a decent photo of it next time, my camera keeps bleaching out the white and it cant do colour either.....anyway here they are:

I love this one, it's great! Pretty good going in 20 mins! It's got good weight and solidity to it. Luke's portrait looks like it's off to a good start too, how exciting!
